Ellen (aka Helen) Hilliard was born circa 1836 in Cork. She married Richard Daley on 13 November 1869 at Wesley Chapel in the Parish of St Pauls in Cork City. Richard's occupation is listed as Accountant. His residence at the time of the marriage was Blackrock Road, Cork, and Helen (name on marriage certificate) was 90 Blarney Street, Cork. Fathers and their occupations are listed as James Daly (Quarter Master, Cork Militia) and Robert Hilliard (Corn merchant). Dominick Hilliard and Hester Quirke were the witnesses. Ellen and Richard had a daughter, May Elizabeth Daly, born on 7 December 1870 in 92 Blarney Street, Cork. Ellen Daly died on 17 October 1880 at the age of 44 from an aneurysm of the heart. Her occupation at time of death was Shop Keeper and her last residence was 77 South Main Street, Cork. Ellen's death was registered on 31 December 1880. Ellen preceded her husband in death. Ellen was buried on 19 October 1880 in St. Finbarr's Cemetery, Glasheen Road, Cork.

Lizzie Hilliard was born circa 1839 in Cork. She died on 25 January 1884, at the age of 45 of heart disease. Her occupation at time of death was Shop Assistant and her last address was Sundays Well, Cork. Lizzie was buried on 27 January 1884 in St. Finbarr's Cemetery, Glasheen Road, Cork.
