William Beare was born on 7 February 1864 in Bandon, County Cork. William was baptised on 26 February 1864. As he grew up he chose to remain at home and not take the academic career like two of his elder brothers John and George. He had talents and liked to use his hands to practice a wide variety of skills. Carpentry was his first love. William married Maria Smyth on 31 December 1893 in St. John's Church, Listowel, County Kerry. Maria Smyth was born on 20 October 1868 in Ballinruddery, Listowel, County Kerry, and is the daughter of Benjamin Smyth and Honoria Enright. William and Maria had four children. William died on 30 November 1939 and is buried in the family grave in St. Peters Church graveyard, Bandon, County Cork. Maria died on 30 October 1934 and is buried in St. Peters Church graveyard, Bandon, County Cork.

George Beare was born on 13 October 1895 in Bandon, County Cork. He is the son of William Beare and Maria Smyth. George was baptised on 27 November 1895 in Christ Church, Kilbrogan. George married Margaret Elliot on 22 March 1933 at Limekilns Church, Dunfermline, Scotland. Margaret was born on 14 May 1898 in Barsloisnach, Kilmartin, Argylshire, Scotland, and is the daughter of Robert Elliot and Jessie Purves. George and Margaret had three sons. George died at the age of 73 on 5 July 1969. Margaret died at the age of 86 on 2 March 1985. They are buried in St. Peter's Church Graveyard in Bandon, County Cork.

Benjamin Beare was born in 1896 in Bandon, County Cork. He is the son of William Beare and Maria Smyth. Benjamin died at the age of two in 1898 in Bandon, County Cork.

Susan Beare was born on 23 April 1898 in Bandon, County Cork. She is the daughter of William Beare and Maria Smyth. She married Norman Herring in 1926. Norman died in 1927. Susan married Goodlett Hamill on 21 November 1932. Susan and Goodlett have three children, Margaret Patricia, Desmond Goodlett and Alan David George. Susan died in December 1956 and is buried in Hollywood, County Down. Goodlett died in 1971 and is buried in Belfast, County Antrim.

They lived in Bristol, England, where he was a Professor of Latin in Bristol University. William and Sylvia had three children. William on 28 July 1963 and is buried in Bristol, England. Sylvia died on 1 June 1996 in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.
