Valeda was born on 8 January 1911 in Masseau, Quebec. Stewart died on 18 December 1997. Valeda died on 23 February 1999. They are buried in Riverview Cemetery, Fort Frances, Rainy River, Ontario.

They are buried in Emo Municipal Cemetery, Rainy River District, Ontario.
