Lester married Annabelle (Bella) MacLean on 25 April 1916 in Pictou, Nova Scotia. Bella was born on 10 February 1896 in Pictou Island, Nova Scotia, and is the daughter of Torquil and Isabella McLean. Lester and Bella had five children. Lester died on 5 May 1953. Bella died on 15 August 1972. They are buried in the Pioneer Cemetery in Pictou Island, Nova Scotia.

Ralph John Hooper was born on 26 January 1916 in Pictou Island, Nova Scotia. He is the son of Lester Hooper and Annabelle McLean. Ralph died on 26 January 1945 in Hertogenbosch, North Brabant, The Netherlands.

Sydney Williard Hooper was born on 5 April 1918 in Pictou Island, Nova Scotia. He is the son of Lester Hooper and Annabelle McLean. Sydney married Delta Priscilla Thurber on 1 July 1943 in Pictou, Nova Scotia. Delta died in 2001. Sydney died in 2009. They are buried in Brookside Cemetery, Digby, Nova Scotia.

Theodore Lester Hooper was born on 29 July 1920 in Pictou Island, Nova Scotia. He is the son of Lester Hooper and Annabelle McLean. Theodore married Margaret Julia Patterson on 3 July 1947 in Pictou Island, Nova Scotia. Margaret was born on 23 July 1926 in Pictou Island, Nova Scotia. Theodore and Margaret had three children. Theodore died on 18 February 1982 in Pictou Island, Nova Scotia. Margaret died on 13 January 2001 in New Glasgow, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Isabel Louise Hooper was born on 5 December 1924 in Nova Scotia. She is the daughter of Lester Hooper and Annabelle McLean. Isabel married Vernon Leslie Rankin on 6 July 1944 in Pictou, Nova Scotia. Vernon was born on 8 April 1922 in Pictou, Nova Scotia, and is the son of John A Rankin and Mary M MacDonald. They had three children. Isabel died on 3 December 2011 in New Glasgow, Pictou, Nova Scotia. Vernon died on 11 November 1999 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Howard Hooper was born on 5 October 1930 in Pictou Island, Nova Scotia. He is the son of Lester Hooper and Annabelle McLean. Howard married Ruth Moore on 28 November 1957 in Pictou, Nova Scotia. Ruth was born on 3 July 1936 in High Bank, Kings, Prince Edward Island, and is the daughter of Reuben Abrie Moore and Myrna Harriet Hayter. Howard and Ruth had three children. Howard died on 21 July 2021 in North Bay, Nipissing, Ontario. Ruth died on 30 November 2020 in North Bay, Nipissing, Ontario.
