Anne Beare was born circa 1821 in Bandon, County Cork. She is the daughter of John Beare and Elizabeth Maynard. Anne set sail for Sydney, Australia on 26 October 1843 on the ship the Neptune, and arrived in Sydney on 11 February 1844. She was accompanied by her brother John on the voyage. The Barque Neptune sailed from Cork, Ireland, on Thursday, 26 October 1843 and arrived in Sydney, NSW, on 11 February 1844 under the Master William James Ferris. The ship was carrying 308 Bounty Emigrants; ten people died during the voyage and the ship was placed in quarantine for three days on arrival in Sydney due to smallpox. Anne married Peter Plummer on 20 October 1846 in the parish of St. Savior, Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia. Anne and Peter had six children. Peter died on 16 February 1857 as the result of falling beneath his dray at Cooma. Anne married George Blewitt (son of William Blewitt and Ann Hardcastle, and born circa 1820 at Hornchurch, Essex, England) on 5 January 1858 in Christ Church, Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. Anne and George had two children. George was a farmer. He died on 19 October 1860 from injuries sustained from falling into a fire. Anne married Patrick Licedy on 25 April 1862 at Christ Church in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. Patrick, a farmer, was born in Limerick to John Licedy and Mary Abbott. Anne and Patrick had one child. Patrick was found dead at Lanyon, near Cuppacumbalong, on 21 April 1867. The coroner listed that he died from a rupture of the right ventricle of the breast. Anne died of rheumatism on 11 November 1896, aged 74 years, at Green Mount, near Royalla, and is buried in the Anglican portion of Riverside Cemetery, Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia.
Peter Plummer was born circa 1824 in Berkshire, England. He married Anne Beare, daughter of John Beare and Elizabeth Maynard, on 20 October 1846, in the Parish of St. Saviour, Goulborn, New South Wales, Australia. They had six children. Peter died on 16 February 1857 as a result of falling beneath his dray at Cooma.
Peter Plummer was born on 2 August 1847 at Nimmitybelle, Cooma-Monaro, New South Wales, Australia. He is the son of Anne Beare and Peter Plummer. Peter married Clara M. Gabriel in 1897 in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. They had seven children. Peter died on 31 August 1910 in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. Sarah Ann Plummer was born on 7 October 1849 at Monaro, Boco, New South Wales, Australia. She is the daughter of Anne Beare and Peter Plummer. She was baptised in the Church of England, District of Monaro, by the Reverend E.G. Pryce on 4 March 1850. Sarah Ann married Thomas McCauley on 17 May 1872 at Saint Mary's Anglican Church, Kangaroo Flat, Victoria. Thomas was age 28 years and Sarah 22 years. Anna Soares and Maria Stewart were witnesses while Gualter Soares was the celebrant. Both could write, and signed the marriage certificate. On the Marriage certificate, Sarah’s place of birth was given as Monaro, NSW. Thomas gave his place of birth as County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Although they were married in the Anglican Church, on 11 May 1886 the family was accepted into the Roman Catholic Church, at Saint Gregory’s Church, Queanbeyan. On their arrival in Queanbeyan, Thomas established himself as a Master Builder, and there are many historic buildings in the Queanbeyan/Canberra area that bear his mark, or that of his son and grand-son who followed in the family tradition. They had ten children. After Thomas died on 5 January 1895 Sarah Ann married Henry (Harry) Burton in 1901. Sarah Ann died on 10 July 1901, in Booth Street, Queanbeyan, and although her Death Certificate shows her as Sarah Ann Burton, she is buried in the Queanbeyan Cemetery, as Sarah Ann McCauley, with her first husband Thomas McCauley. Eliza Jane Plummer was born on 26 August 1851 at Boco, New South Wales, Australia, and was baptised on 9 February 1852 by the Reverend E.G. Pryce of the Church of England in the Parish of Cooma. She is the daughter of Anne Beare and Peter Plummer. Eliza Jane died sometime between 1852 and 1857 in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. George Plummer was born on 4 September 1853 at Burra, New South Wales, Australia, and was baptised on 28 February 1854 by the Reverend E. Smith of the Church of England in the Parish of Queanbeyan. He is the son of Anne Beare and Peter Plummer. George died of Diphtheria at the home of his mother, Mrs. G. Blewitt, of the Burra, on 21 April 1861 and is presumed to be interred in the family plot where his mother was later buried. John Plummer was born on 1 March 1855 at Burra, New South Wales, Australia. He is the son of Anne Beare and Peter Plummer. John died of senile decay on 28 March 1931 at Captains Flat in the Yarrowlumla Shire, New South Wales, Australia. Lucy Plummer was born on 28 December 1856 at Burra, New South Wales, Australia. She is the daughter of Anne Beare and Peter Plummer. Lucy married Jacob Blundell, son of Joseph Blundell and Susan Osborne, on 26 January 1876 in St. John's Church, Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. They had twelve children. Lucy died on 15 January 1924 and is buried in the Queanbeyan Riverside Cemetery, New South Wales, Australia.

George married Anne Beare on 5 January 1858 in Christ Church, Church of England, Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. They had two children, Charlotte born in 1859 and George born in 1861. George died on 19 October 1860 and is buried in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. Charlotte Blewitt was born in 1859 in Queanbeyan,New South Wales, Australia. She is the daughter of George Blewitt and Anne Beare. Charlotte married Samuel Baldwin in 1881 in Queanbeyan. She died in 1939 and is buried in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. George Blewitt was born and died on 13 April 1861. He is the son of George Blewitt and Anne Beare. George is buried in Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia.
Patrick Licedy was born in 1835 in Co. Limerick, Ireland. He is the son of John Licedy and Mary Abbott. Patrick married Anne Beare, daughter of John Beare and Elizabeth Maynard, on 25 April 1862 in Christ Church, Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia. They had a son Francis born in 1864. Patrick died on 21 April 1867. Francis Licedy was born on 13 January 1864 in Burra, New South Wales, Australia. He is the son of Patrick Licedy and Anne Beare. Francis married Annie Darley, daughter of John H Darley and Margaret Sheedy. They had three children, Henry (1892), Frederick (1896) and Leslie (1899). Francis died in 1935 in New South Wales, Australia. |
